POLYNUCLEOTIDE
TREATMENT

What are polynucleotides (PNs)?

They are a new concept of regenerative medicine known as biostimulators which are
injectable treatments that "kick start" regeneration in the skin. Rejuvenating and
regenerating the skin promoting skin elasticity, hydration with a reduction in
photoaging (sun damage) and scarring.

Formed from purified DNA extracted from freshwater fish, PNs are long chains of
nucleotides (the building blocks of DNA).

How do PNs work?

When injected into the skin they help with cellular repair and regeneration; reduction
in inflammation; initiate fibroblast production and increase collagen formation for
tissue repair and regeneration; improve moisturisation and skin hydration due to their
significant hydrophilia binding water molecules within the tissues; and protect
against harmful external agents such as free radicals, UV rays and stress; leading to
an overall more youthful, hydrated, healthy and revitalised complexion.

Benefits of PNs

  • Skin revitalisation to combat the signs of ageing

  • Rehydration for dull skin at any age

  • Reduces the appearance of acne scarring

  • Reduces pigmentation

  • Improves the appearance of rosacea

  • Improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles

  • Can be used to promote hair regrowth in alopecia and hair thinning

  • Can be used on the face, neck and decollete, around the eye area, on the

  • body and scalp.

Risks and Side Effects

As these treatments use naturally derived substances the risk of allergic reactions
are significantly reduced. However if you suffer from fish allergies then PNs are

contraindicated (hyaluronic acid skin boosters will be better for you). It is also
contraindicated if you are under 18 years of age, pregnant or breast feeding.
Side effects are rare but include redness and mild discomfort at the injection sites.
Bruising can occur, but is uncommon.

Treatment protocol

The treatment is a series of intradermal injections over the area to be treated,
normally 3 sessions 2-3 weeks apart followed by 1 session every 6 months for
optimum results.

In some cases, 4 sessions may be necessary depending on level of damage.
